Acetone On Marble Floors

So i m assuming that the nail polish remover etched the marble unless there is some type of nail polish remover product that contains a colored dye that could stain.

Dry cleaning sand dirt and other grit elements are the greatest enemy of marble floors and other surfaces because they may scratch the surface. Organic stains are typically noticed once the item that makes the stain. Examples include milk peanut butter or hand lotions. If you are cleaning marble floors then try using a duster or broom for this. Use a cotton swap dipped in acetone to gently work out stains and wash the area with plenty of plain water afterward. For most organic food stains the marble institute recommends cleaning with a solution of 12 hydrogen peroxide and a few drops of ammonia. Nail polish remover is usually acetone which does not damage or stain marble and some other products which can damage marble.
